Once second-grade scholar, Keagan Parham, learned about the three Baltimore City Firefighters passing away, he knew he needed to do something to encourage them.
God moved Keagan's heart with compassion for the three fallen firefighters in Baltimore. He and his classmates made cards and delivered them to Engine 14. He also led prayer at a prayer vigil near the site of the fire.
The scholars of Rock Church Academy sent posters and cards of support to the firefighters at Engine 14. The scholars were able to tour the station and bring love and cheer!
Scholars traveled to the local Post Office and saw Community Workers in action.
Scholars were able to ask what management it takes to perform the task.
Scholars even got to have a little fun and scan some packages set for delivery!
Nature is very close to our backyard at Rock Church Academy. Community natural life is found right around the corner at Webers Farm. Scholars took the day, and learned about all of the fun things there to do!
Scholars were greeted by a host of animals, fruits, vegetables, and a host of other fun. Picking fresh pumpkins, tasting fresh homemade ice cream and deserts were amongst some of the fun things to do.
But what stole the day was the mountain of tires, the hayride, and the sack slide. It was an especially fun and warm October day. We can't wait to go back this year!
Scholars traveled to Fox 45 News studios in Hampden and had an AMAZING DAY! Scholars were able to tour their recently premiered studio stage set, along with learning all about the processes and technologies it takes to run a news station.
Scholars got to see first hand how a green screen works, as they pretended to be the weather Meteorologist, mixed with a little bit of silly exciting fun!
